Have you been attending worship or small-group study at FUMC for a while? Why not become “one of us” formally by joining our church? Here are some of the ways you may want to consider becoming a member of our church:
Profession of Faith: If you have never been a member of any church, you may join Farmville UMC by professing Jesus Christ as your Savior. You’ll be asked if you will support our church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness.
Transfer: If you are a member of another church, you may join by requesting that your membership be transferred to Farmville United Methodist Church.
Affiliate Member: If you are a member of a United Methodist church in another city but will be residing in the Farmville area, you may unite with Farmville UMC as an affiliate member. You will maintain membership in your home church but you will be under the pastoral care of Farmville UMC.
Associate Member: If you are a member of another denomination, residing away from home for an extended period, and attending Farmville United Methodist Church, you may be enrolled as an associate member.
Restored: If you have been a member of Farmville United Methodist Church or another church at one time, but have been inactive for three (3) years or more, you may unite by renewing your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and restoring your membership in the church.
