Small Groups at Farmville UMC

Join us at 9:00 am on Sunday Mornings for Bible Study for all ages.

Small groups at Farmville UMC are a vital part of our worship experience. Our church has numerous small groups that meet in and outside of the church walls. When you’re ready to connect with others, small groups offer a friendly way to meet others and deepen your faith.

Music Ministry

The Chancel Choir sings at the 10 a.m. service. Practice is currently held after service weekly during the fall and winter in the sanctuary from 11 to 12 p.m. The choir is open to all adults, and you may join at any time.

Adult Handbells play in select services.  Practice is held weekly during the fall and winter on Mondays and Wednesdays on the second-floor. 

SonRise Singers sing at one service per month.  Contact the church office for information. 

United Women of Faith

This group is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Growth in individual spiritual and intellectual lives is encouraged for all Women. Members participate in a Reading Program; attend monthly circle and quarterly unit meetings; attend retreats and district-wide events and meetings to learn and share with women of other churches; work and study together at FUMC to develop ways to show love and serve others.

Farmville Youth Collective

Youth ministry for grades 6 through 12. Meets September-May at 6 pm on Sunday evenings. Location varies and can be found in the newsletter.

Fitness Group

The Methodizers are a female-only group that meets Monday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the social hall.  Participation is free and open to all.

College Ministry

The Wesley Foundation under the direction of Reverend Justin Hicks has dinner and worship during the fall and spring each Tuesday evening at 5 p.m.
